Over the past 20 years, we have been involved in a huge variety of marine projects throughout the UK and Europe. We are proud to have been contracted to install marine insulation for thermal, acoustic and passive fire protection to many prestigeous vessels in that time.
As marine insulation contractors we have worked on a variety of vessels from pleasure boats up through DNV class support vessels, small coastal carriers, bulk fruit and freight carriers, liners, cross channel ferries and in-voyage refurbishments on LNG tankers such as the Arctic Discoverer.
Fully conversant with many specifications (such as: A60, A30, B15) we can specify and install marine insulation to comply with DNV and Lloyds Register along with other organisations related to the marine industry, including MCA.
Marine insulation materials and techniques vary from vessel to vessel, and we are familiar with using Ceramic Fibre, Calcium Blocks and Rockwool Mineral Fibre products to mention but a few.
We are also in partnership to develop new materials specifically for use in composite vessels providing both space and weight savings over conventional technologies.
Our portfolio of industrial insulation contracts includes supporting major Heating and Ventilation system installers in the UK and also providing industrial insulation for components within the Petro-Chemical Industry.
Heating and ventilation installations can vary from small office developments through to major complexes such as Hotels, Offices, Supermarkets, Universities and Factory Units.
The scope of the work ranges from installing insulation to domestic hot and cold water systems through ventillation duct systems and up to major boiler house refurbishments and plant room installations.
We are fully conversant with the Petro-Chemical industry with a wide variety of insulation contracts completed; many of them at the nearby Veolia Oil and Chemical Treatment Plant. Contracts have ranged from the insulation of smaller components up to the refurbishment of a series of 12m tall oil storage tanks.
We can provide a full technical service to include the provision of specifications tailored to meet your requirements to comply with standards such as M & E Nos.3 and 100, not just on heating and ventilation but also for acoustic noise level control.
